Your Scrappy Jo member name? Finallymama
Your first name? Autumn (keep reading!!)
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I was born in a small town, in the western part of Maryland, in 19!!. Back in the day when men where men and women were ladies. A time when not only did you know your neighbors you went out of your way to help them and they did the same for you. I was the second of 3 children. An older sister and younger brother, yet to be born. I grew up on my grandfather’s farm. Farming is hard work, and we did lots of it……………
Oh the short version?? *LOL* OK….
I’ve been married to a wonderful guy, Tim, for 16 years. We have a beautiful daughter, Vashti, who is 11. My sister has lived with us for the past 3 years, but will be moving into her own place in June. I will miss her a lot. We also have 2 cock-a-poos, and my sis has a cat.
I am a Domestic Engineer who wastes more time than most. I love to scrap, and usually do something scrappy everyday!! I enjoy checking the threads here at Jo’s and seeing what my “friends” are up to. I enjoy scrapbook swaps, and all the inspiration the girls share.
Got a blog? Or website? You want to share. It’s mostly just family stuff, but you are more than welcome to check it out… http://lifetimeofsmiles.blogspot.com/
How did you get started in scrapbooking? I got pregnant. *LOL* Then after DD was born, I was invited to a Creative Memories party. It was more ‘sophisticated’ than the scrapbooking I was doing. I never have really cared for their style of scrapping.
How long have you been scrapbooking? 11 years
What’s your favorite paper line? Good question. I’m not a brand snob. If I like something I don’t care what brand it is…I just want it or get it!! *L*
What product(s) are you addicted to right now? Thickers and cardstock
What inspires you creatively? Other peoples work, pictures and sketches
What brought you to Scrappy Jo's? Val and Kelly sent me over from SB.com
How long have you been a member of Scrappy Jo's? Since August 4, 2008
What do you enjoy the most about Scrappy Jo's? How friendly everyone is.
What is on your scrappy wish list? Thickers and Petaloo Flora Doodles
What is something about you that we may not know? Melody is really my middle name. When I first got on the computer my family warned me about all sorts of scary things, so I thought I would use my middle name instead and so here I am all these years later!! *L*
1. What is on your iPod/in your CD player right now? I don’t have an iPod, and the only CD player I use is in the car…it probably has 50,s/60’s Doo-woop in it. I usually just listen to the radio.
2. Finish this sentence: I am so glad I never . . . . . drank or did drugs.
3. If granted one wish, what would you do with it?? Wish for a hundred more to share with those I love.
4. They say that everyone has a twin somewhere in the world. What is your twin doing right now? All the things I wouldn’t or couldn’t do…Fly, sail, swim with whales, sky dive, run a marathon, take a missions trip to Africa…ect… She’d be the brave one!! *L*
5. Someone writes a biography about you. It's title is. . . .
“Finally, I’m Mama!”
There is a LONG explanation for this, but the short of it is, it would cover my childhood dreams clear through my life today!! And it’s a grand life!! I’m so very blessed.
If something needs changed or added, please let me know!! Thanks!!

Marks Paper
This month the design team had the privilege of working with paper from Marks paper company.
The paper itself has a great textured look to it. Their papers are designed to look like woven fabric, but they feel like paper. They are lightly aged and distressed as well. All of their products are made and manufactured in the United States. And they have super fun designs that work well with heritage pages and more modern designs.
The store has a great Scrappy Pack at a fantastic price if you want to try it out too. Only $4.50 foe one of each double sided design.
Here are the projects the design team completed with them.

Your first name?

*Tell us a bit about yourself.
I only have a couple of hobbies – scrapbooking and reading, heavy on the scrapping. I have a fun job (special education preschool aide) and I work with two wonderful people – how many people can say they laugh at work every day? I am married to my high school hottie and we have one daughter, who is the main focus of my scrapping…
Got a blog? Or website? You want to share.
Blog? That’s one bandwagon I haven’t jumped on. I play a bit on myspace and facebook, but that’s mostly to keep in touch with family. I’m lazy that way…
*How did you get started in scrapbooking? *
My daughter was one when I was bitten by the scrapbooking bug, and I haven’t looked back since. There used to be other things I enjoyed doing, other crafts, but those have been abandoned or incorporated into my scrap hobby. Obsession, I should say!
*How long have you been scrapbooking?
Samantha will be thirteen this summer, so that will be twelve years that I’ve been addicted to scrapping.
*What’s your favorite paper line?
It’s tough to choose only one, but if you pinned me down – Fancy Pants. Next would be My Mind’s Eye and Making Memories… Kaiser Craft is drawing my eye lately, too!
What product(s) are you addicted to right now? *
Ooooh, I just picked up some Prima “Say it in Pearls” self adhesive embellishments… Those are awesome! I also love the Fancy Pants transparent die cuts, but I find I keep saving them for a “special” project. I just need to USE ‘em! One more thing keeps creeping into a lot of my stuff: the Fiskars Threading Water punch. LOVE that. Seriously!
*What inspires you creatively? *
Our own Suzanne has gotten me hooked on sketches. I never really used them until I was a member here, and now I can’t get enough. Magazines, online galleries and the pictures I scrap also speak to me.
*What brought you to Scrappy Jo's?
Not what, but WHO! Tigger mentioned this site to me, back when it was still Sherri’s.
How long have you been a member of Scrappy Jo's? *
I’ve been playing here since June 2007.
*What do you enjoy the most about Scrappy Jo's? *
All the inspiration from everybody and their work, and the friendliness of everyone!
*What is on your scrappy wish list? *
I have way too much – don’t need anything! However, I would love every single color of poster paint that Sharpie makes!!! I LOOOOOOVE that pen!
*What is something about you that we may not know?*
Sheesh. THAT’s a tough question – I’m pretty much an open book. Okay, here’s one. I’m happy with only having one child, but if my husband said he wanted to have one more, I’d jump on it. I’m safe though – he doesn’t… But think about all I could scrap with one more kid!
Lori's Questions
1. What is on your iPod/in your CD player right now?
Sugarland, Jesse McCartney, Aerosmith, Shaggy, Flo Rida, Corinne Bailey Rae, Duffy, Justin Timberlake, Kid Rock, T.I., quite the eclectic mix…
2. Finish this sentence: I am so glad I never . . . . .
Listened to my friends in high school who said Ben was too young for me…
3. If granted one wish, what would you do with it??
I’d wish that my family was always happy and healthy.
4. They say that everyone has a twin somewhere in the world. What is your twin doing right now?
Scrapping, silly!
5. Someone writes a biography about you. Its title is. . . .
Grateful. I’m really happy to be in a *mostly* happy relationship with my hubby, to be Mom to such a great kid, and to have enough.
6. Who is your favorite band? And why?
That would probably have to be Journey. The old Journey… I just love the sound of Steve Perry’s voice. And the 80’s ballads – brings back some very good memories… We saw them in concert once – it was quite romantic. Lol.
